yes, we passed on #31 long time ago at the Tulsa show same thing , corroded on the "down side" from moisture, and they knew I would or could refinish it properly BUT all too many folks knew it's condition, so we passed and the late 'flatgate' ended up with it, thats when we first met ,,may he rest in peace........you can put a thin plastic under the gun but do NOT put it IN a bag, traps moisture and condensation with room temperature change...plastic ,rubber ,leather ALL bad for a guns finish,,,wish I had a nickel for every one we refinished over these past 55 years......:cool::rolleyes:

..and once its refinished no matter HOW good, its NOT "original".... :unsure:;)

Lucky I guess, just got this 1958 .357 for $350. Goes with my 1957 .44 mag and 1957 .357 mag. No conversions

I bought all 4 of mine for $600 or less. The OM flat top was $600 and the others were $450-$550. These were all "recent"purchases. The only NM ive had that really has the "it" factor compared to the old models is my flat top 44spl and its definitely a keeper.
