At this time of year, I try to put things into perspective. This story helps me. I heard it years ago, and it still resonates. I'd like to hear what you all think about to keep you on the right track. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here is a link to the lesson. It's about a mayonnaise jar and golf balls.

The world is a magical place, full of people waiting to be offended by
"something". Isn't it strange that the less work they had to do to get
where they are, the more offended they become, by smaller and smaller
"somethings"?

Does that mean/imply that the more/harder you work, the less you are
offended by small/little things?

Humm . . . isn't that called perspective?

:D

Thanks eveled! Something we all need to know and remember. Yep, perspective is wonderful. My first wife complained about our first home, being small. It was what a college kid could afford. As a Public Health Nurse (PHN), I saw much worse. I got sooo tired of her bitching and moaning(B&M), that I baked a loaf of bread. I took her and that loaf of bread to one of my clients, who lived in the same sized house, but with large cracks in the walls-snow would come in and coat the old man's blanket on his bed. These people had insisted one day, that I eat with them. Agency policy said NO! Policy be damned, I wouldn't insult them. That was as fine a meal as my grandmother had cooked. After giving them the loaf of bread, and on the way home my wife apologized. That ended the B&M. I should send her that link  Ok I won't!

I have a new grandson and Donald Trump is still in the White House,
I can still own fun firearms and look for my own self defense and recreation with shooting sports,
my parents are still living and doing well as are my kids, grandkids and many good friends
I took a picture of 8 Eagles in a tree near Newtonia Missouri this afternoon
Life is good, proper way to end 2017 eating boiled shrimp, a tasty salad and some very top shelf whisky from The White Mule Distillery
I think will step out on the porch at midnight and touch off some 45 Colt rounds from my Ruger Bisley
Happy New you to you all, best wishes for a real good new year
