If you're going to kill a lot of insects all at once, you need a "punt gun"

We dealt with ours a number of years ago. It's a full brick house & we up-armored with aluminum cladding on all exposed wood surfaces. worked quite well. Covered up the holes as a bonus. ;) :D

The big problem now is Japanese Beetles. :(

Proper burials?😳
For 45 years i have used an old daisey i rebuilt, give it a few pumps. there was a gunwriter who also did, no bbs or pellets, just air pressure, real close. (stalking, always part of the hunt), he lamented he dosent have anything left for the taxidermiast to make trophys from.

That's today's body count on carpenter bees using a 'mil-spec' backyard badminton racquet. I only count the ones that break in half, get stuck in the racquet, or I see them hit the ground and squish them with my boot. May have to drop down a gauge as this much repetitive 'shooting' makes my shoulder ache a bit. ;)
Try a wasp sticky trap, it works pretty good, for wasps anyway.

I guess those 'traps' work for some. We spent $100 on carpenter bee traps and caught ZERO. Only thing that sort of reduces the number is weekly spraying but that gets messy and still isn't 100%.
