Ahh …. Brings back some memories
I had an AMC Rambler wagon at one point. I am not sure as to the exact year but I know it was a 1970-something.My first car was a 67 Rambler American Wagon, laugh if you want but wed night at the drive -in was $2.00 a carload, I could stack about 15 kids in the back of that thing. then the back of the wagon itself, glad it couldn't talk. My dream car was a 70 Dodge challenger with a 383 4 speed, Never did get one.
My mother loved avocado green. We had an avocado green gas stove & refrigerator for years. The oven here is the same avocado green one that came when the house was built and still running strong. The microwave we have is the one my husband and brother saved up to get their mother three presents in one: Mother's Day, birthday and Christmas in 1978.

Sure, a cubit is one of those little rectangular thingies that show up on the gas "gage" of modern cars. When I get down to three cubits I gas up.Absolutely just like when Noah was building the Ark to have certain dimensions measured in cubits.
Nice,I always loved the AMX with the 390 especially. See so few nowadays. Last time I saw one on the road was about 2 years ago. While in the military I bought a 1969 AMC SCrambler coupe. 390 4-speed. Bought it used for $750 from a car lot in Santa Maria CA.
It's worth about $30,000 now fully restored. Apparently it was a rare car, painted white with blue and red stripes. Limited production. I was 24 years old. To me it was just a neat fast car.
Also owned a 1970 Ford Thunderbird with a 429 big block. That car was a beast.
Unfortunately I no longer own either car.
Those were wonderful days![]()

Halter top wearing chick drinking Boones Farm is the way to go......you most likely in a good place.....for me it was the bed of a pick up truck parked at a bon fire in the middle of the woods or a field.....the 70's were great.
Always liked the AMX. Dad tried to get AMC Matadors for work. They were state fleet cars so he knew they had regular maintenance.Saw a couple at the AMC National Convention in Petersburg Va last year, many incredible AMX's, Javlins, Ramblers, Germlins, probably close to 300 cars, GREAT show and stuff you just don't see anymore
