You will notice in the majority of the movies if the good guys takes the gun, or has one of his own, it comes with the Hollywood bottomless magazine so he never runs out of ammo or has to reload.

Was watching a Western today and the 'hero' was hiding behind a wagon wheel and being shot at. The bad guy was behind a huge wooden box. They shot about a dozen rounds at the good guy. They hit the ground, the wagon, and the wheel but not the good guy. On the other hand in two shots the bad guy was down.
