After discovering that my Rossi 92 .357 carbine preferred heavy-bullet loads, I searched the internet for advice on waht powder would work best. I concluded that Alliant 2400 was what I needed. Fat chance. Everyone was out of everything. I periodically checked Shooters Supply in South Hutchinson, as well as shops I spotted in travels. Bare shelves everywhere, or maybe some shotgun powder.

Today, I drove to South Hutch to look for a yard sale, and decided to drop in on the gun shop. Shazaam! Shelves full of powder, including one cannister of 2400! For $24.89 (plus tax) it came home with me. Now, I have to get out the lead melter and cast some more 158 gr. gas-check bullets, and look up a load for some 170 gr. RNFMJ bullets I found at a yard sale. :D

My Winchester likes 180gr XTP bullets with H-110 or Accurate #9 behind them full tilt. :D :D
