Nope the greatest is Tiger. Jack was dominate .. no doubt, but his competition was shallow and his win loss record can't match Tiger's
Yeah, I bet Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Billy Casper, Sam Snead, Tom Watson, Julius Boros, Tom Weiskopf, Hale Irwin, Tony Jacklin, Raymond Floyd, Tony Lema, Hubert Green, Dave Stockton, George Archer, Johnny Miller, Jerry Pate, Peter Thompson, etc etc etc. would just concede at the first tee rather than tee it up with Tiger. Trevino probably would ask Tiger if he could caddy for him.
Don't kid yourself.
As far as win loss records, Jack has 18 wins in the majors and 19 seconds. Tiger is now 42, at that age Nicklaus had 17 majors, Tiger 14. For a 8 years or so Tiger played as good as anyone ever has but was he more dominating than lets say Byron Nelson who won 11 tournaments in a row and 18 in 1945. Hogan and Snead were in most of the fields too.. So how about him.
For 8 years or so Tiger was the greatest player on the planet. For a career Jack is the greatest ever.
