I read various threads that mention this alpha-numeric model, then another and it goes on rather maddeningly.

My question: Is there an organized Ruger list with model numbers, calibers, details etc. that is offered in a logical/organized fashion? Perhaps, going up or down in caliber? And provides features such as decocked, not decocked, with or without a safety, etc.

Sure, I can go to a Ruger website, but I fear it'll be a model/caliber mess without proper organization.

Thank you!!

Good luck, even when we read the RENE< and can see it in print, when one lists all the long digits over and over, they all look the same, yep it is a numbers game now, makes NO sense at all.....liked the old simple system but with so many different, new models they simply ran out of numbers and letters....it ONLY works for computers...... 8)

( was easier when we just noted "variations".......)

Pretty much right at this point. If they're going to have this many "models" they're going to have this many "model numbers". It was easy when there was only a handful of models, but as things develop and the product base expands, there cannot help but be changes in the numbering system. It drives me nutz as well, but I don't see a simple way to identify each and every model with a unique numerical identifier without going back and completely re-doing the system . . . and you know that's not going to happen.

Progress, bah.

RENE is best source for me.
"Simplify" likely isn't possible in Ruger's heavily regulated industry.
Heck, they make over 30 variations of the 1911 alone.

Folks will keep up or fall behind ..... depending on their level of interest; or lack thereof.

Yet we are always asking for a caliber/model that Ruger does not make.

I still want a Ruger rolling block rifle. I know it will never happen but it would be swell next to my Number 1.
