Hawkeye models are the same as MKIIs except for the finish and rollmark. As long as the barrel contour is the same the stocks should interchange. Boyd's stocks take some work to get them fit and finished. If I had to do it over I would look at Accurate Innovations. More money, but no hassles.

Jakes, the front sight was sweated on the barrel.

I'll offer a word of caution regarding SA action stocks. If you are running a Ruger Mark ll or Hawkeye short mag., you will have to open up the magazine box area on all the currently available after market stocks. CP.

Thank You for the insight on stocks. I placed my orders last night for reloading materials (dies & brass). They should be arriving about the same time as the rifle. Looking forward to the range!
