Tell Me About Estes Park Colorado---Trip Completed---Wrap Up

Town itself is pretty cool in a tourist trap kind of way. The real attraction is Rocky Mountain National Park. Some of the prettiest country God placed on this planet. If you like to hike this is the place to be. The loop drive is good. The drive up to Bear Lake is pretty. Plenty of Elk and other critters.

You like to fish? Some good meadow streams right after you enter the park.

Sure glad we took the extra day for the side trip. I would highly recommend it if you are passing by. I would venture to guess it gets really ugly with tourists during the summer and on weekends. Besides being at the very tail end of the rut, I think our timing was just about perfect. They were predicting lots of snow for today which probably will close lots of the roads for the season.
