Hi. I recently bought a used GP100 in the Target Grey finish. The serial number dates it to 2004 and it came in a green plastic box, so I'm assuming it's one of the Lipsey's guns.

Does anyone know how many were made? I did a search but didn't find anything.

Thanks.

I can't say how many were made, but I can tell you that my example is one of the sweetest shooters I've ever had. The trigger pull out of the box was out of this world and continues to amaze me every time I shoot it. Great gun.

If it is Lipsey's, here's what I have on it from the Ruger reference:

KGP-141TG Special Distributor model by Lipsey's. Known s/n range 174-82086 to 174-84447. 1,017 produced.

If your serial number falls outside of this range, be sure to let me know so I can update the record.

Thanks for the replies!

My serial number falls within that range, within the first 300 or so.

I tried it out two days ago with some .357 handloads. It does have a very nice action for a stock revolver, and I really like the older wood-insert grips.

My photos aren't so good, but here's an old one of mine. I use the smaller fixed sight grips and the inserts are Zebrawood.
