I do know that stainless can be blued. I mean regular bluing, not black phosphate or other coatings.

Precisely! Looks no different in that pic than the crappy CCH on the original Vaquero.
Now if it looked like powdersmoke's example with polished bluing and blued hammer and trigger......

I kinda have to agree. The stainless parts on the gun don't really look right, more like an afterthought. I would have expected blued parts to tie in with the cylinder and barrel.


But then again, I am not the target market for this gun. I have 25 Ruger revolvers, all but 2 are Stainless Steel DA's. And only 1 of those 2 is is a Single Action - a blued 7.5" 44 Mag Super Blackhawk. :shock:

Plywood grips on a CCH framed revolver...no thanks, Ruger needs to pay attention to the details.

This should have had nicer grips and blued hammer/trigger...even if the price is higher, get it RIGHT.

Grips are easy to change. Have you seen any other new Rugers lately?
That's the norm.I don't agree with it, but I'm happy to own this, and it will eventually wear a nice set of grips to compliment the great case coloring on it.

I also bought two of Tyler's Bearcats. One with Stag grips and the other.....you guessed it, plywood.

At least they're not putting horrible rubber grips on the Blackhawks, like the do to the Redhawks
