Super scooper planes doing what they do

Is it just me or are these pilots bad aces.
A nice explanation of how the planes work too.

Many moons ago I was stationed in Spain. the Spanish air force was using converted Catalinas for water drops. They would land on Lake Sacedon toss a hose out the side and pump water into the tank. Then take off, make the drop and repeat. We had a really good relationship with the Spanish firefighters and air crews. If they were flying all you had to do was show up to go up. But, you would be working, not just sightseeing.

The Catalinas were WWII vintage. Once they had water on board it took forever to get airborne again. Pretty spooky with the cliffs surrounding the the lake. Those Spanish pilot made it look easy.
