Just purchased Super Blackahwk 5.5, stainless, and sent it promptly to the gunsmith to swap parts and make it Bisley.

Since I am not young chick any more, I would like to install fiber optic sights. The question is which ones; what is the best combination regarding colors. I know, this is individual, but your experience, opinion and suggestion which sights (manufacturer and model No.) to use will be appreciated.

Also, this gun will use 99% handloads, 250 grains (Keith H&G #503 SWC) at 1100-1200 fps.
Should I consider specific height of the front sight so revolver would not shoot too low or too high?

Thank you very much, Onty.

Green front will work better in the woods and you do not get the big red glow, good luck and good shooting.

Thank you both for valuable tips.

Blackhawk, what kind of revolver you have, and did you keep same height of the fiber sight as original iron one? Also, which fiber sight and ghost ring you used, where did you get them, P/N?

Any problem with ghost ring getting snagged in holster? Should I consider adding some kind of protective ears, like on semiauto S&W?

Thanks again.

The front that I used won't work with your model, but I selected the tallest they had. You can't have too much front sight. The ghost rings can be purchased from a member here on the furum, but I got mine from One Ragged Hole a long time ago. Never had a problem with them.
