Super Bearcat Question

Are the all steel frames any more or less desirable than the gold anodized frame Super Bearcats, 91-42XXX? I have the opportunity to pick up one of these, unconverted, and mechanically excellent. It does have some holster wear to the blueing. No box or papers. What would be the ballpark value?

Not really more or less desirable. As a matter of personal preference, I like the lightweight standard Bearcat better, but I have room in my heart for the Super as well, and own several.

I generally look to give about $300 for a shooter-grade Bearcat w/o box.

Yes to what Boge said. My shooter Bearcats are all Supers 'cause it just happened that way. Gave $325 OTD for my last one but it was closer to a collector grade but no box. It was an early Super and had the anodized trigger guard.

I put a late model steel trigger guard on my SBc rather than have the beat up anodized refinished. Also an early steel ERH. and a conversion action. Hope it doesn't give a collector a fit someday.

Not planning on converting it to .32. Just rechambering the second cylinder to .22 WMR.
