Anybody out there in the path of these latest storms, I hope all is/has been/will be well.
Hopefully they will be working themselves out by the time they get here. From Atlanta north does not look like it is going to be that great.

I've been trying to keep an eye on things. Praying. I have family North of Atlanta up around Canton, Jasper & Cumming. I saw a little about the fires in Oklahoma & the dust storms (wind) in Texas yesterday. There's been a lot going on.

We dodged a bullet here in central Illinois.
Forecast was tornado / damaging winds up to 70mhp / hail / rain.

At my house no wind damage and a whopping half an inch of rain.
Some on south end of town did have trees down and lost power.
No deaths or injuries which is most important.

N/E TN here and, looking at the radar map, it appears we're going to get some heavy rain/thunderstorms, at least, overnight, probably starting within the hour. Supposed to go on until about 6 am, give or take. The wind is blowing pretty good 25 - 35 or so.

More midwestern rollercoaster weather noted today ….

Friday was 78 and sunny
Friday evening temps in 50s and heavy thunderstorms many places
Saturday cloudy and 50 degrees
This morning 28 degrees and 1 inch of snow on the ground.

We're west, in Crossville and it seemed like we were rolling from one Tornado Warning to another one, about every 15-20 minutes. It did rather skillfully remove some trees that were "compromised" and dropped one with the very upper branches skimming our pole barn. Good as a mile... (oh, and I guess the term "Remove" isn't exactly accurate, they'll absolutely all right where they landed, pretty much locked in to each other.

Southern Oregon, Rogue River to be exact. We got so much rain in the last 24 hours that our bottom acre in the trees is under 6" of water…our little volunteer stream is flexing its muscles and overwhelming the 8" culvert to the point of washing out our drive to the barn. I spent several hours cleaning branches and pine needles out of the 2 culverts under our drive- they are 12" each. Rivers on both sides of the house. The pic doesn't do it justice.

Friday night, we had powerful winds and rain here. The rain had picked up all the dust from TEXAS and every car around here the next morning looked like it was evenly spray painted with mud. Never seen anything like it! Took three days to get it washed.
