Recently purchased a nice RSI 77 in 308 at a gunshow. got the rifle home and was checking length of pull without my coat on and noticed that someone had done a very neat professional alteration of the buttstock by taking 3/4s of an inch off then refitting a Red Ruger recoil pad on the end of the buttstock.

I would like to purchase a replacement factory buttstock for the weapon.

Any ideas out there, as I am new to rifles.

JP: The red pad appears fitted to the buttstock. A simple alteration for a gunsmith.

The length of pull is a bit short with a shirt on and not a overgarment. I normally use a standard length of pull stock of 13 inches. I have s sleeve length of 33".

Recontacted the original owner of the 308 and he advised he had the stock shortened for his wife.

Your stock original, what condition is it in and what is the asking price?
