Where are you in NC? I ordered mine in the summer of 2009 from Lipsey's through Perry's Guns in Wendell, NC. He has a good relationship with his Ruger rep.

I would also try Personal Defense and Handgun Safety in Garner, NC, Young Guns in Apex, NC or Ed's Guns in Vass, NC.

Everyone else will charge you too much or not be able to find one.

Anybody know where any are available? Seems that Bud's Gunshop had a few for a good price, but they're gone now.

My local dealer can't find me a 4-5/8" model anywhere. I was hoping that they would be in ample supply after the SHOT Show.

Davidson's and Sports South both show none in stock.

I'm going to have to put this on hold a little bit. I found a 32 Mag Single-Six in excellent condition at Bud's Gun Shop. This little surprise has caused an unexpected delay in getting a 44 Spl!

The only thing better than a .44 Special Ruger Blackhawk...

...is a filthy dirty one that just finished shooting some Elmer Keith 250 grain bullets at around 1200 feet per second with 17.0 grains of 2400 behind them!

A feller or gal just HAS to be a reloader to gain full appreciation of these wonderful tools.
