So when did Ruger begin to put steel ejector housings on the old Vaquero? I've got the change at somewhere between 57-10111 and 57-80080, but surely somebody else can get closer than that????

I also show a blue/case color finish Sheriff's model, number 57-47332 as having a steel housing, but those were all the shorter housing so I presume all of the Sheriff's had steel.

Thanks Dana. Just had another PM sent to me where an individual has a BNV-44 57-29646 with alloy housing. Looks like we're within 30,000 now.
Anybody else got a blue/CCH Vaquero between 57-29646 and 57-57870?
You know, this would be where the steel housing replaced the alloy on their other steel grip framed models also (Bisley's and Super Blackhawks).

57-44139 BNV-453, Steel.

Yes, our BNV-453 #57-47332 is steel also. Since its a shorter ejector housing, I'm betting the Sheriff's gun probably all have steel housings.

I checked my only one in that serial number range; 57-60216. It has the steel ERH. All of my others had different prefixes,, so I didn't check them.
