Never have used one,,,But if you don't want to drill and tap the gun,That would be the way to go.

I have one on my 5 1/2" SS. works and looks as advertised. Very solid. I have a red mounted. Very easy to install but the rear sight must be removed ( watch out for small spring under sight). It does what I wanted but does change the look. I also put Hogues on it. I have small hands and they are too large for me. I'll probably put the wood back on. I can't move the red dot too quick or I lose the dot. I am very pleased with the mount. Very well made. Hope this helps. Bruce
