Hi Guys,

How does this gun recoil with 44 mag factory rounds using 240 gr bullets?

I have shot those rounds in my .44 Alaskan Ruger a box of them weren't bad. This gun is twelve ozs. lighter.

Not quite as much as a SBH as I recall. Still a jolt, but the weight does dampen it down a bit (or seemed too). I shot them both with 'stock' grips and no scopes. As said in another thread, I finally sold mine, but kept the SBH.

Relative to anything else 7.5inches and uncompensated, not a whole lot.
Takes more than factory loads to get a SRH bucking real hard.
