I was playing around with my short SR9c 10 round magazine. I took the plastic base plate off, leaving just the metal base plate that is attached to the spring. I was then able to load 11 rounds into the magazine. And the mag fed the 11th round into my SR9c with out problem.

It seems that there is room in the mag for another round if someone manufactured an after market base plate. You could even still use the same spring. I wish the aftermarket would pick up the pace with products for the "c"

Couldn't agree with you more. I would be willing to bet the mag body on the SR9c mags is the exact same body as the 10 round full-size SR9's with a different base plate. I think it's just Ruger not wanting to produce a different magazine body because they'd have to have one for non restrictive states and one for restrictive states.
