Last weekend I bought a new SR22. Rather I traded in a S&W MP .22 on the SR.22.
Today I had an opportunity to shoot my new purchase at the local range and I was very impressed with the results of the SR over the S&W.
Out of about 100 rounds 75 were in the #10 and #9 ring the others were in the #7 and #8 EXCEPT for one round that was not even in any ring!!
I call that as a bad ammo. Which can happen with any Manufacturer's rim fire ammo. I had always felt that there was something off with the S&W because neither my wife nor my shooting buddies could get on target with it. I am pleased with my purchase.

At what distance?
My SR22 has never been excitingly accurate but that may be due to my 70 year old eyes. At 10 yards, I'm good for minute of raccoon/possum/miscreant and that's about it.

My distance was at 7 to10 yards and my eyes are 78 years old.
I honestly cannot explain why I am shooting the SR so much better than the S&W but it sure was a lot of fun.
I also shoot a Security 9 and my scores with that were somewhat respectable. It was my shooting with the 9 that led me so the SR 22.
I am still thinking that there was something off with the S&W.
