Here is something I wish Ruger would offer for the SR1911. A .22lr conversion. This one is a Wilson Combat made be Marvel.

I know, it will work. I would have rather bought one from Ruger with the same finish and Ruger roll marks. No big deal just happy to have one.

I have been wanting a 1911 chambered for .22 for a long time. There is no 1911 .22 on the Mass approved list, so a conversion is my only option.

Finally got it to the range today, it shoots like a dream. Was using Winchester super x. Really, a lot of fun and accurate enough. Ed

Tried one of the Kimber ones on my SR1911 and it was a no-go, however, other member's on the 1911 index have indicated they had luck with these. Bought it form Midway, and asked if I could return it, and am getting full credit, so KUDOs to Midway for being an upstanding company!

Slide fit, but once the barrel was installed, there were issues with clearance between frame, barrel and slide, and the take down lever hole would have had to been modified.
