Ok,,,, this one has had some Nice Custom Work performed, I really like the “smoked“ look of the wood stock, aluminum butt plate, and what scope rings?

The barrel band, trigger group, and butt plate are all original vintage Ruger parts from when they still used metal. I stripped the paint/powder coat/anodizing, sanded, and polished them. I replaced nearly everything in the trigger group and bolt with parts from Volquartzen and Kidd. I got an exact copy OEM take off "hardwood" stock as mine (so I could return it to original if needed), stripped it, and refinished it. I used a very dark stain and put a poly clear on for protection. The rings are Leupold Rifleman vertical split rimfire rings ---> CLICK HERE FOR AMAZON LINK
There is no stainless on this gun (I am not a stainless kind of guy). On an 10/22, the only steel part in the barrel anyway. The receivers are painted/powder coated alloy and the current band/plate/trigger group are plastic. This one has a steel butt plate and alloy band/trigger group. I used to polish single action Ruger parts too. That OMSS was returned to stock before it went away. The polished parts were sold off.
Last pic shows the stock hanging up when I sprayed the poly.

This one works great for tree rats. With Aguila subsonic rounds it stops them right where they are hit. With Remington Yellow Jackets they sometimes run a bit before it takes effect. The Altamont stock and compact 16 inch barrel and BX trigger makes it a very handy rifle. It has day glo sights which are very easy to line up. I am debating if I should put sling swivels on it.

I had one similar a couple years ago only with a Hogue over-mold stock. It went away before I ever shot it but new new owner was happy. Kinda regret it's gone but I have not use to regret what I didn't try. I'll get a bull barrel 10/22 again one day.
As for non-Ruger rodent guns, I had these at one point. Still have the bottom one. It's a original length Marlin 60 built in the window where they still had the long barrel (and longer magazine with more capacity) AND the last shot bolt hold open (new at the time). Got it at an estate sale for about 1/4 what it's worth now.
And if you encounter a GIANT squirrel, I have this unfired (by me) Marlin 783 (1983 model so it's real walnut and has the Marlin sling)

I have 2 of the 10-22's and to be honest, don't like either one. Neither one
can hold a candle to my old Rem Nylon 66. But that said, my favorite Squirrel
rifle is a Henry Lever Action using .22 Shorts when I can find them. Relatively
quiet and very accurate.

I am not a Henry fan in the least but my 1951 Marlin 39A "peanut" shoots shorts, longs, and obviously LR. Long sight radius makes it accurate.

No squirrels around here but this would be high on my list. All 50 yard 5 shot groups with SK ammunition.
