I'd really like to be able to say that this flattop was originally assembled with the Super Blackhawk hammer, but I have no way of knowing that and I don't think it would be able to be verified. Probably an upgrade by an owner somewhere along the way. The Super came out in 1959 and this flattop is from 1961, so it is possible. Model BKH46 .44 Mag Blackhawk in about 95-96% condition. Wear is light and scattered with a turn line and some blue loss near the front of the cylinder and left muzzle. A few other light scuffs and scratches. Nice solid revolver with a lot of use left in it, and maybe with some research the hammer could be confirmed, making it a real collectible. If you don't care for the wide spur hammer, you can sell it for more than a regular large frame Blackhawk hammer would cost. Very good grain to the varnished walnut grips.
