I just bought a speed six while I was on vacation. I tore it down to clean/lube it up a bit since it was bone dry (hopeing to take it out tommorow and try it). I'm trying to put it back together and I can't seem to get the ejector spring to work properly. The spring tension that normally retracts the ejector star after pushing out the empty cases will not retract the ejector???? I'm staying with friends and the only tear down manual they have is pretty much useless for this gun.
Does anyone have a idea?

azrugershooter, Evidently you put the cylinder assembly back together wrong. Here is the right procedure for disassembly of the cylinder. Unscrew the ejector "rod" clockwise. It is a reverse (left hand) thread. Now remove the ejector rod toward the front. Now remove the center pin (the long pin) and it's spring toward the front. Note that the back of the pin captures it's spring. Now remove the crane toward the front. The cylinder arbor (big hollow part of the crane) holds a small "washer" and this is a very "important" part! It acts as a "compressor" for the ejector spring (large spring) and I suspect you either lost or did not put this part back in on reassembly! The concave part of the washer should be facing you as you put it back in. Now remove the ejector spring from the front. Now remove the ejector ratchet from the rear of the cylinder. Now use a small punch to push out the cylinder lock pin out the back of the ejector. That's it! Reassembly is in the reverse direction for all parts. Hope this gets you "squared" away!...........................Dick
