Found a nice set of elk horn inserts for an SP101.I would like to put these on my 3" GP100.What kind of bit do I need to drill for the grip stud or is this an idea leading to a tragic ending. Thanks

Did you mean grip locator pin or grip panel ferrules?

The grip locator pin does not go into the grip panels, it just locates the rubber grip on the gripframe. You should have the GP-100 compact rubber grip. The SP insert will fit right into the compact rubber grip. Use the SP hardware. (grip panel screw, left and right ferrules)

Guess I mis-spoke. Perhaps you do need some relief for the locator pin? Could you do that with a Dremel tool?

It is a 1/2" hole I need. Not sure if I want to experiment with a dremel tool or even a bit for that matter.I have not bought the grips yet but bidding on them.Probably be best to just order from Sack P.In fact, the ones I'm bidding on were made by him/you.I have a very low bid so will be outbid.May be talking to you shortly Sack P on a set.
