Is the spur-less hammer available from Ruger and is it drop in?
The parts breakdown specifically states that the hammer is a 'factory installation' which would mean IF they have the spur-less hammer that you would have to return the revolver to them to have it installed. Not sure but I believe that the trigger also has to be changed as the spur hammer can be 'cocked' and fired single action and the spur-less cannot.I don't think Ruger sells the hammers directly. I could be wrong. But as for availability,,, who knows!
Usually parts can drop in,, but I've had some parts that required a little fitting adjustment as well.
