Have a stupid question on the gemini sight. Does the green tube need light to make it work. Another words if my gun is kept in a dark drawer and I were to pull it out in the night time to defend against an intruder would the sight still light up. I know the trijicon will, nor sure on the gemini.

The Gemini sight is a simple, fiber optic tube that must have light to show up. Only a tritium sight glows in the dark.

If it is pitch black, you probably should not be picking targets, anyhow.

The gold bead sight will reflect light, too.

Get a flashlight and a shotgun!

Just ordered Trijicon for my sp because it has same dimensions as stock blade, but no white outer ring like Mepro.

They cut a slot long ways in the ramp with the tritium self glowing tube in the end, and should be great if it glows anything like my compass.

I've had the Trijicon, Meprolight on my SPs. The Meprolights are the only night sight I will use. The Meprolight is a square sight that assists in daytime shooting and I've found them to be brighter for nightime use. Had em on my SPs for 10 years. I'm a retired police firearms instructor.
