Is there a data base using the serial number that would show me the date it was made in? Also how long has the 101 been produced? Thanks, be safe, CraigJS

When did they move from the prefix of 573 to 574? Click to expand... Well, Looks like some time this year. 2009 started with SN 573-94733. Looks like Ruger makes anywhere from 10,000-25,000 SP101s per year. From 2008-2009 was a good year with about 22,000 SP101's produced. (estimating from the SN range.) Some of this spike might be because of the SP101 in 327. Charlie
