Some of you guys may be aware that I've been having some health problems lately but I've managed to get back to grip making at least for a while. I just finished these Moreno Rams Horn grips.

I tried hard but I just could not get the camera to capture the beautiful colors and the luster in these grips. They also have my new hardware with a grip screw head on each side. The customer said he wanted it. These grips and frame are going back to Hamilton Bowen on Monday so he can finish the gentleman's gun. The grip frame will be blued so the Rams Horn will compliment the blued frame beautifully.

Very nice. Custom special relief to grips for client or am I seeing things.

Sorry to hear your not in the best of health. Judging by those grips your still at the top of your game.

Before I knew you were a member of this forum, I came across your website while Googling "Ruger Custom Grips". Since then, I've lost track of how many times I'd visited your site. These ram's horn grips are stunning in their beautiful simplicity, although I'm sure there was nothing "simple" about making them. For whatever it's worth, whatever your health problem may be, I hope you continue in your recovery. You are a true craftsman.

That is one sharp set of Ram. Please tell your customer to feel free to post pics of the revolver when he gets it back from Hamilton :D

You've probably seen smooth elk grips with no bark before, but they can't compare with Rams Horn. Rams Horn is a much denser material since it's horn instead of antler and it has no pithy parts in it. It polishes up beautifully and has deep colors in it. Trust me, you can't see the real beauty of these grips from a photo. It's my favorite stuff to make grips from and unfortunately the hardest to get.

I think he will probably be proud to post pics of his gun. This Bisley frame was decked by Hamilton Bowen so I don't think he is sparing any expense on the gun.

Cary,,, those are stunning.
It's good to hear you are on the upswing healthwise. Many of us truly appreciate your craftsmanship.
