I am the first to admit that I don't really know what I've got here, but it is a CASE XX product. This is a CASE XX "The Signature Line" kitchen knife/slicer. The hollow ground blade has a couple knicks in the sharpened edge and a few scratches, the handle is full tang construction and is in nice shape. The green leather sheath is in good shape with the gold lettering legible, a few stitches at the tip have cut through but I'm not going to mess with that (keep it original).

LOWER PRICE $30.00/SHIPPED

$40.00/shipped unless you have something interesting to trade. Let me know if my price is out of line. It just sits in the kitchen knife drawer, I thought a knifeman would enjoy it in their collection.

First "I'll take it" gits it!

Thanks for looking.

Length of blade? Stiff, semi-flexible, flexible? Does it have and keep an edge? Has it been sharpened correctly or has it seen a grinder? I'm interested, pending more description...

Peace and God bless, Wolfsong.

Wolfsong,
Blade length is 9 3/4 inches, overall length 14 1/2 inches. The blade has a little flex to it, springy. It does not appear to have seen a grinder. As far as holding an edge, I haven't used it or put a stone to it so I'm not sure, but it is stamped CASE XX STAINLESS. As stated in the description the blade has a couple knicks in the edge and some scratching mainly below the spine at the top edge of the grind. Thanks.

By its shape it looks like a carving knife (think large hams, steamship rounds, etc, that you would see on a carving board on a buffet). The stainless is kinda a detriment, they're harder to sharpen that a carbon steel knife, but if in good condition it can be sharpened easily enough. The three rivets in the handle tells me it's full tang knife which is good. Your price isn't too bad and it is a Case.
