That is a very nice example of the real early 89DC. The 89 has had several slightly different DC units. Wish I had money to burn it would be mine....

Good luck John,
Roy

Thanks Roy. I got this one as part of a package deal on some other P's awhile back, with limited round count.. which it shows, and I never really fired it either since I had my other one. So it has been a safe queen since I have had it. Oh sure, I fondled and wiped it down now and then.... but who wouldn't. If it sells fine, if not... that's fine to. I was only going to use the funds to apply to another P series purchase.... maybe expand my P's to the Poly/Stainless (P95 and P345 or maybe the P97).

I did end up getting about 1k rds of .40 for the KP944..... figured it was a good option to keep since I have seen more .40 avail than 9mm as of late.

This is a free bump... but I do have a question and maybe Roylt can help... the serial number on this P89 shows '302'... when I go to the Ruger web site and look up P89's the numbers start at '304'... what's the deal here?

Per RENE: 302-27583 to 303-65768 = 1991 production. S/N's started at 300-00001 in 1987. Rugers web site is not a reliable source.

Yea... something like that... LOL.

Who would have thought that Ruger's web site is not reliable.... but I agree.

Correct.... shipping is different than FFL transfer fees. I have heard some FFLs charge for use of their FFL to receive shipments (other than what they order/sell) to offset paperwork (so they say). I am not an FFL, and shipping depends on location etc. PM me some specifics for your FFL and I will see if I can get you a shipping quote. I may shop around.

Beagle dog, I think what you are asking for is the actual cost of shipping to your FFL... the transfer fee is going to be on your end with your FFL.

You hit the nail on the head Blume. Thanks!

These days if someon is going through an FFL to ship a gun I can't imagine not using a Priority flat rate box.

Agreed, but some FFL's don't know the law and either won't do it, or mistakenly believe they CAN'T do it.
