.577 Snider Cadet MKIII. This is the last version and made specifically as a Snider as opposed to a converted Enfield Musket. Improved steel as marked. Excellent condition for its age (1871) Lock, action etc function perfectly. I have fired this with home made ammo and it's solid and accurate. The 19" bore is in great condition, no pits, dark spots, rifling is perfect. The front sight is custom done with brass band and an improvement over the shotgun bead these Cadets normally have. The firing pin retainer (musket nipple on Enfield musket) is clearly a brass custom part that is nicely done and functions beautifully. Read more on Sniders and Snider Cadets for more info than I can provide. Included in the package is brand new Lee dies WITH shellholder, 49 or 50 pieces of never fired Magtech 24 gauge brass, 10 pieces of 28 gauge Fiocchi hulls and 4 pieces of once-fired 28 gauge hulls that can be cut down for one-time use. The 28 gauge will function once for ammo but 24 is what you want for reloadable. This incredible package is $700.00 plus shipping in CONUS. This is an antique firearm made in 1871 so can be shipped direct where legal to do so. Thank you.
