Well I stopped at my favorite gunshop today just to look around and say hi. The mgr waves hi and says, "I've got something for you" He goes into the back and comes out with a beautiful, blue, 2 3/4" fixed sighted, square butt Security Six 38 Special all original 150 prefix.
I had heard of this version but had never seen one.
As I worked the action and looked it over, one of the salesmen walked up with a stainless Security Six, 2 3/4 " barrel adjustable sights with original target stocks.
Sigh.
Only one on layaway at a time at this store so I had to choose.
Then the mgr returns with a smile and say I can put them both on lay away.
$350 n $375 respectfully.
Now I need to find some overtime.

Same situation happened to me with different handguns, S&W Model 17, shopped in 1957 and a S&W Combat Masterpiece Model 15-4 and the price was significantly higher but I really wanted them both.
