I have a single six 22, also with mag cylinder that I got when my grandpa past away in 1986. Serial number is 61-096xx, and it doesn't have the transfer bar. What year is it? Thanks

Uhh, I believe the year is wrong above. Ruger's well known to have "mistakes" in their website look up.

According to the RENE Guide,, (which is what all of us serious collectors follow) shows the gun as a 1972 manufacture. 1972 is listed as; From 60-81278 to 61-11135.

Yep, I looked up 60- not 61-.

And the web site works.
Put in this number and "enter"
Then look at the bottom of the page and it gives you the older guns to choose from.
Yours is a Super Single Six.
