So I've had a Single Six now for almost 30 years and have maybe 500-1000 rounds through it. It has been meticulously maintained and kept in the safe most of its life. I was wondering if the wear on the lift or hand that rotates the cylinder is excessive. It appears that edge is rounded off quite a bit and I don't know how long it's been like that as I've never really noticed any problems with function or lock up or timing.
My Vaquero and my Blackhawk have some slight, rounding of the very edge/corner but nothing compared to this single-six.
What would account for this excessive, or at least what appears to be excessive wear? And is it indeed a problem if I don't notice any functional problems?
I have included two angles in pictures to illustrate. Thanks all for your time.
