I recently found and purchased a stainless 9 1/2 inch KS9 single six Ruger .22 revolver. Does anyone know when the last year of production might have been for these. I have been unable to find this model with Liberty markings and it seems I was told once that 1974 was the end of this stainless model. This particular model I now own is from Nov 1974. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you

Go to the following page on Ruger's web site

http://www.ruger.com/service/productHistory.html

Click "Show All" on the revolver line. There are three new model Single Six links at the top of the list and three old model links in the middle of the list. The serial number on your gun should appear in one of the range of serial numbers. Once you find the correct model/page, you can see the last year that your model was manufactured.

According to RENE about 2400 of the KS9's were made in two sn# ranges ending in, probably, mid to late 1974.
