Is there anyone making sights to replace the dovetailed front sight on the Single-Six Hunter?
I'm finding the factory gold bead a bit too small.

What are you looking for? A larger bead or a post?

I would like to have a larger bead. 3/32" should be about right.
However, a post would do in a pinch.
I think that the factory sight is about .4" tall but one a sixteenth taller would do as well.

I've googled myself to a frazzle looking in vain.

Don't know if you'll find any but look on Brownell's for Marble or Williams sights and maybe Midway.

The reason I ask, is that I was considering making some front sights. I needed 1 for Redhawk, and Contender's hooking me up with a stock 1.
He mentioned the v-notch/gold bead type as well. I've never used 1 on a pistol, but it makes sense.

So I was thinking about making a few - I'm a self employed machinist. But at the very least, I'd have to get a sample to duplicate the mount dimensions and height.

The bottom line is, if you guys are seriously interested, mebbe we ought to talk about this a little bit. I'm not at all impressed with what Ruger sells as aftermarket sights.

PM me if interested, and we can go from there. If any of you are in the Metro St. louis area, that would be even better, as I'd like to see 1 of the guns up close and personal.
Let me know.
Thx
