single six hunter scope, holster questions

Purchased a new single-six hunter stainless. Trying to find a red dot scope. I like a holographic red dot, but all I have seen have weaver type mounts that does'nt seem to fit. Have the 1 in scope mounts with the pistol. Will a 1 in red dot scope tube type be just as good? Also looking for a simple side holster, with or without scope? I intend to target practice some, will hunt squirrel with the pistol. Any suggestions?

I have seen a scope base that will "convert" your Hunter to be able to use the Weaver style of optics. I don't have one myself,, but I've seen pictures around here of other members who do have one. I believe Weigland makes that base.
And yes,, a holographic red dot is a sweet set-up for hunting etc.

This is what I have it's a 1" tube ADCO red dot with setting from 1 to 11 and using the ruger mounts. Hope this help you.Would like to post a pic but don't know how on here.
