I need to replace the cylinder base pin nut and spring on my Old Model Single Six (blued) are these parts interchangeable with the New Model Single Six??

Yes, with one Caveat. Ruger dropped the early design in '58 or so and a cylinder frame machining change was implemented at that time.
So, if a '58 or older gun then you'll need "vintage parts", otherwise, New Model stuff works GREAT.

The easiest way to tell is lay your parts along side of a current production base pin latch.

The early style is sorta backwards when compared to the newer design.

I don't have the time to get you some images until tomorrow.

Due to the fact that the parts are sorta opposite of each other the possibility of interchangeability is non-existent.

Ok, this is the one I have, which appears to be the drilled through design.

The spring and the nut are who knows where, they came off, and ai was lucky to find this part in the grass.

Hey, ya lucked out! :D

Just remember that the drilled-thru nut and the spring go on the left side, and the screw goes in from the right side.

Don't ask howcum I happen to know that.
