Ihave a 1965deerstalker carbine will the williams peep sight that screws to to rear scope mount holes brownell's sells fot the 10/22 fit my gun? I know I may need a taller front sight sight but my Weaver Classic 4x38MM scope is a bit of over kill on this gun .Where i hunt with it shots come quick and up close 50 to 75 yards at the out side most of the time much closer .
Thanks,
Lou

To cite the Williams website descripton, for the WGRS:

WGRS-44 For Ruger 44.
Similar to the WGRS-RU22, but not interchangeable.
Usually requires a higher front sight - .500 to .570M

Now I don't want yo scare y'all but for once I did the smart thing ,I called Brownells and they make the right Williams WGRS rear site for the old deerstalker there part #is 962-100-044 and cost $35.95 and the front Williams brass bead site part#is 962-161-531 it's a medium which is what he recommended. It's.538"tall cost $10.95.So very soon my deerstalker will be the way God and Big Bill meant for it to be .And thanks Pete for your help
