Has anyone figured out where the serial numbers started and where they'll end? I went through about six pages coz I thought I'd read someone posting the start. I'm hearing reports 'round here of 5.5, but no 4 5/8...

So far it appears 520-16832 is the earliest.
If they run in sequence then outa 2,000 pistolas 17332 would be the quarter mark and 17832 would be the halfway mark evah so roughly...

I've seen 17223 it was a 5.5".

Well guys what can I say :wink: .I waited for a whole 24 days hours or something to go to my connection and score. And I like Rugers and Love 44 spls. It also helps to have friends at the " choke " points along the pipeline. It does not always work but it works enough of the time to help out with special items from time to time..........................JJ

I thought I had read that there was only going to be 250 of each barrel length for each quarter of 2009. From the serial numbers that I have seenposted on this forum I see there has been about 350 so far for the 4-5/8.

I realize this is oversimplified w/o hard #'s, but it should be somewhere in the 'hood, ballparked. 16832-17332 is 500 units/ one quarter production for both lengths combined. I'm guessing that there'll be half of each barrel mixed in. Key word here is guessing coz all I know is I'm going on the third week of supposed to be here...
===========
As well, I started w/16832 coz that was the earliest SN posted that I found. I've seen 17233, 5.5", and that's right @ 100 from the end of the first quarter, for both pistolas combined, so I'll guess that the first quarter is out there or in transit.
=========
Ward, thanks for adding new SN to the updates on your OP.
Thanks to everyone for providing a SN to the list, sorry X'd out SN doesn't count, so Ward can help folks track how many are out there.

My guess is the 250 was the minimum that Ruger was required to supply per quarter. I would think that if Lipsey's has orders they take them ahead of schedule.
