SA - 35 Springfield Armory hi-power

I've had a few original Hi-Powers, blue, hard chrome and that two tone one they made for a while. I'm down to one right now, and it's not even a Browning, exactly, it's an FN, imported by Cassi, called the GP Competition:

BUT, it was my understanding that SA actually has the parts nearly completed in Turkey (by Tisas?), with enough final machining and fitting remaining upon import so that SA can claim "Made in USA". Could be a shithouse rumor, I don't know. I WILL snatch up a Tisas Ingles version when I see a sale on them!

I can tell you the SA-35 has the same sight dovetails as the Tisas. And they don't match any other brand of HP dovetails.

Interesting. AND a mild bummer, because in a plastic tray somewhere, I have several Browning sights, and maybe still a blued adjustable. Are the SA dovetails larger or smaller then the others?

The front was smaller. I like a big gold bead front sight so made one for mine. And I just made it to fit the slide.
