Hi guys,
I thought you'd get a kick out of this. Going through my stash and remembered this one.
Maybe @chet15 Chad can shed some light on it. I's a 3 digit early gun but shipped in 2006.
Must have fallen between the cracks and was lost for 16 years!
I picked it up from a fellow member here a few years ago.

Wow, very cool! Is the 44-40 cyl fluted or smooth?

That was probably one of the archive guns that got purged about that time to Williams Shooter Supply and Davidson's. Seems that a lot of guns under serial number 500 were just automatically held back regardless of whether the "subscription" number was still current or not with a recipient that was still getting them. Not sure who had the #124's but that number is early enough might have been an employee or another friend of the factory.
I'm surprised it doesn't say "SAVE" on the box label.
