Buckeye,
Where was it and what did it sell for? I'd be dissappointed too, I have one and love it! But they are still around and reasonably priced. I see them on Gunbroker and on Gunsamerica where I got mine for $510.

Saw it in a ad..posted SOLD ! Think it sold for $455.00...But time you add shipping transfer fees...you are in the ballpark..

I totally missed all of theses....I was under weather at the first of the year...didn't even look at guns...

I got one of the BBQ-ready, shiny stainless steel ones. I like it ! stevemb

I got mine when Bud's had them on sale very cheap. I kept looking at the price on their website and thinking I've paid more for medium quality .22's. Couldn't stand it anymore and ordered it. Put on some custom wood grips and that's about it. Love that high hammer on a shorty like this one.

I have the Stainless one. Problem was.... it shot high and way left. The left has been corrected by having the barrel turned. Other than that it is a cute little .44. Hope you run into one!

I've got a pair of them - a Sheriff stainless and 4-5/8" blued. I especially see the blued Sheriff and 4+ at the LGS from time to time, usually NIB.

I'm gonna head out hopefully Saturday and hit a few Pawn Shops and a few LGS

I lusted after one for quite some time, but thought I couldn't afford to feed it ammo....
Now I just started reloading, and have one. "it" is a Sheriff New Vaquero in 44 Spec.
I replaced my hammer with a SBH hammer and put on some Eagle Gunfighter grips...
Just got back from a range visit, and man, this thing is accurate (now that I am familiar with it)

and with the original hammer:
