My Marlin 37A and my new Marlin 60 both out shoot the Ruger 10/22. The Ruger is easy to build a custom on, and will be one of my gun projects for this year.

The Ruger .44 carbine was loaded into the bottom of the receiver, similar to a pump-action or semi-auto shotgun.

:( One of my budies told me he used to own a chinese copy of a 10-22 (maybe Norinco) except it was tube fed. May be this is the gun in question.

I have owned a Ruger 22 with a tube magazine since the late 1960s. To me it looks identical to the 10-22, but I'm not an expert. I haven't shot with it in quite a while, but I recall that it is a 10-shot magazine.
