Ruger Tang Safey Trigger Pull

I have a tang safety Ruger rifle rebarreled in 264 Win Mag. I rebuilt the trigger mechanism from scratch and have about an eight pound trigger pull. Can this be fixed or do I just need to install a Timney trigger?

What model rifle and what was involved in the trigger rebuild?

Tang safety guns are the Model 77.

And if you decide you need a Timney,, let me know,, I think I still have a NIB one for that model.

Hi toward the end of the tang safety's I had one that had a horrible trigger I happened to be at a show and there was a Ruger rep there so I asked him if anything could be done with it he told me that their policy was to not let any rifle out of the factory with less than a 6 lb trigger I had my gun smith work on it and he got it down to about 4 lb but that was it I like 2-3 myself on a hunting rifle
