Ruger Super Redhawk in 41 magnum?

Help Support Ruger Forum:

I think the .41 mag is the most underappreciated pistol caliber of all time. I have two Smith's, one a 6 inch and the other an 8 3/8 inch pinned and recessed. Recoil is way less than the .44 mag and they are still throwing a 41 caliber bullet.
Agreed wholeheartedly and it's odd too as so many shooters pick their caliber based on "more than good enough" and "less recoil" and in both cases the .41 meets that in spades but the .44 magnum likely outsells .41's by 100 (or more) to one.

Maybe the harder kicking calibers have the machismo that the .41 may not? Maybe the allure of killing a deer with a .357 has some cool factor that the .41 does not?

Anyway, the gun rags were of no help, I remember them calling the .41 a tweener... between a .357 and .44, and that never helped promote the popularity of the .41.
